Who is Eligible for a Grand Lodge Scholarship?

The first priority will be given to Indiana Master Masons in good standing and to the sons, daughters, adopted sons or daughters, stepsons or stepdaughters, and orphans of Indiana Master Masons in good standing. Grandchildren are also eligible to apply but will be given secondary priority.

Students must maintain a full-time status (a minimum of 12 credit hours) at an Indiana College or University.  Scholarships cannot be used at out-of-state schools.

Regrettably, all qualified applicants cannot receive a scholarship. Selection will be based on several criteria such as evidence of academic achievement and community service.

It is our desire to aid as many students as possible, therefore, we will give priority to those who are first or second-time appliers.

When can you Apply?

The Grand Lodge Scholarship application is an online application, which is normally available from mid-January through the end of March.

How do you Apply?

The Grand Lodge Scholarship application must be filled out online; there is not a hard-copy application available from a Lodge.

  • To start an application, you will need your sponsor’s Member ID, Last Name, and Date of Birth to validate your sponsor’s membership. After your sponsor’s membership is verified, you will have an option to start a new application.

  • If you are returning to an application that you already started, click on the above link to start or return to an application, and click on the blue link “I am returning to complete or review an application I already started”.  You will be prompted to enter the cell phone number or email address you listed on your application, and an access code will be texted or emailed to you.

  • If you are a Master Mason and you are applying for a scholarship for yourself, please log into the Member Portal and start your application.

If you applied for a scholarship in 2019 or later, you will start a new application, but personal information from your prior application should pre-populate the form.  You are able to change that personal information if it needs to be updated.

The scholarship must be applied toward your baccalaureate education at an Indiana College or University.  The scholarship cannot be used for post-graduate degrees, and it cannot be used for schools outside of Indiana.  The online application has a drop-down list that contains the Colleges and Universities.  Remember, you must be a full-time student with at least 12 credit hours.

The deadline for submitting a scholarship application is March 31 annually.

After filling out the application, remember to click the “Submit Application” button to finalize the process. Applications can only be submitted online.

The deadline for submitting a scholarship application is March 31 annually. The submissions for the 2024-25 academic year have closed.
