Randolph L. Seipel

Masonic Term Beginning:

 

Randy was born and raised in Anderson, Indiana. He graduated from Highland High School in 1984. He later moved to Nashville, Indiana where he worked in the restaurant business. Randy attended Vincennes University where he graduated in 1988 with an Associate of Science degree with a Law Enforcement major. After graduating Randy started a thirty-year career in law enforcement with the Greencastle Police Department. Randy started off as a night shift patrolman, transitioning to evening shift Sergeant, and finally he spent twenty years as an Investigative Captain where he ran and supervised all major crime cases, specializing in child sex crimes, death investigations and interviewing and interrogation.

 

Upon retiring from law enforcement, he worked for six years in the Grand Lodge of Indiana office, administering the Patriot database, by-laws approval, lodge assistance, as well as assisting and training lodge secretaries. After leaving his position in the Grand Lodge office, he began his new role as the Director of Fraternal Relations for the Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis, where he is still employed.

 

Randy’s Masonic journey began at Temple Lodge No. 47 in Greencastle, Indiana. He was raised as a Master Mason on April 27, 1998 and has served four terms as Worshipful Master. He is a member of the Indianapolis Valley Scottish Rite where he served as Most Wise Master of the Indianapolis Chapter of Rose Croix. He received the Meritorious Service Award in 2012 and was coroneted a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason in 2015. Lastly, but not least, Randy is a member of Greencastle Order of the Eastern Star Chapter No. 255, and has served five terms as the Worthy Patron. He is also a member of the Terre Haute York Rite bodies, the Murat Shrine and is also a dual member of Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute.

 

Randy is a Master Ritualist and served for two years as an Area Representative for the Grand Lodge. He then served the Grand Lodge of Indiana as Grand Marshal in 2013 through 2014. Grand Chaplain in 2018 through 2019 and was appointed to the progressive officer’s line of the Grand Lodge of Indiana in 2019 by Kenneth Roy Jr., P.G.M.

 

Randy is married to his beloved wife Mel. They attend Solsberry Community Church where Randy often fills the pulpit. Their son, Jes and wife Alyssa live in Greencastle with their two sons. Their daughter Madison and husband Kyle life in Spencer with their daughter and son.

 

Randy enjoys cooking, camping, music, driving his old truck Betty, but especially loves spending time with his four wonderful grandchildren.
