John A. Bridegroom
Grand Master's Pin
2026-2027
Masonic Term Beginning:
The 2026-27 Grand Masters Pin is designed with simplicity in mind, while conveying
deep masonic meaning. Large and bold in the center is the Square and Compass. This
emblem brings to mind all that Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth represent, and is
freemasonry’s most recognized symbol. In the center is the all seeing eye, a poignant
reminder that all things we do are under the watchful eye of our great creator. At the
compass’s apex is the hebrew letter Yod, often representing the creator, and at time
used as a symbol to mark a Grand Master.
Behind the Square and Compass we find the checkered pavement, representing the
ever changing nature of our daily lives, and above it a field of blue reminiscent of the
blue sky canopy above us. The rays of the Creator radiate into the heavens lighting our
paths, and offer hope.
Upon the Square is a simple message. Temet Nosce, which is Latin for that great
esoteric maxim of “Know Thyself”. To know thyself is to know your brethren. It
represents the personal journey each Master Mason is engaged in, and marks the path
we must all walk in our search for enlightenment.
